Dr. Chandralekha, a grieving mother, asks an ex-army man David Kumar to rescue her son Gunasekaran who is locked-up in a military prison. But at the same time, the hideous criminal P. K. Roy appoints the fugitive Pratap to kidnap Gunasekharan from the prison. Both leave for their missions respectively, not knowing what surrender holds in his past and the fugitive takes this personal.

Vijay is in love with Geetha but is unable to marry her due to her father's disapproval. Eventually, he gets married to Lakshmi who has a dark past with Geetha's fiance, Anand.

Giri and Kutti earn their livelihood as house-brokers in the city mainly through their glib talk. Their troubles start when "Torture Dharma" is unexpectedly released from Jail on bail. Giri is the caretaker of Dharma`s house, a portion of which he rents out to Geetha who has come to the city to meet her lover Aravind. Giri to save Geetha from Dharma lies that she is his wife. He is forced to tell a series of lies to keep up the deception.

Samrat is a psychopath who wants to take revenge on the person (Sundar) at any cost, who killed his father and damaged his mother's conduct. He believes that his late mother is still alive. Samrat wants to impose the same fate as Sundar's daughters. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.

Siva (Ramki) is a happy-go-lucky, good natured guy who goes out of his way to help people. He and his friend Kumar (Senthil) are on the look out for a job when they come across the rich and spoilt girl Usha (Pallavi). The first meeting itself sets off sparks and Siva and Usha have a clash. Usha goes out of her way to insult Siva but during a time of danger, it is Siva who comes to her rescue. The bitter rivalry, soon turns into a budding love. However, Usha's rich father will have none of this and decides to do away with Siva. Watch what happens next forms the crux of the story
