Miriam Di San Servolo

Francois Roques, a power-and-money-mad editor of a Paris newspaper invites four women to a housewarming at his penthouse apartment. He plans on one of them to meet death by means of a loose railing on the balcony.

Ugly, persistent, and (initially) annoying admirer pursues a beautiful actress. At first he is laughed of, especially by his ultra handsome rival, but with his firm insistence, and gradually emerging charm, he seduces the lady, to the total shocked surprise of his rival.

1875. After completing her studies in boarding school, the young Duchess Anna Castellani, returns home and meets by chance a friend of her father, a count much older than herself.

Paris, second half of the 20th century. Countess Diana de Simerose has been evading the legitimate rights of her husband, who married her without love, since their wedding day. Fed up with the protracted abnormal situation, the count leaves on a journey, perhaps never to return.
