Three Daughters

Three stories with three central female characters linking the stories together. The first one concerns an orphan girl who grows attached to the postmaster she is caring for after he teaches her to read and write. The second one is a supernatural tale about a woman obsessed with the jewels her husband buys for her. The final one follows a young man who falls for an unconventional girl from his new village instead of his arranged bride, the daughter of a respectable family.

Punashcha

Difficulties erupt between a couple when their relationship gets hit by societal pressures, norms, and deep-rooted patriarchy.

Basanta Bilap

A romantic comedy about a series of clashes between the female residents of a ladies' hostel Basanta Bilap, and four boys of the neighbourhood, aided and abetted by their boudi (sister-in-law).

The Lost Jewels

The story revolves around a woman, who stays in a large mansion with her husband. She develops an obsession for her ornaments and refrains giving them to her husband as they face financial crisis. Preserved by the Academy Film Archive in partnership with Arsenal - Institut für Film und Videokunst e.V. in 2007.

Agun

Heeru, Naren, and Chandranath were friends. From his college days, Chandranath had been aspiring and ambitious. He is also a man of strict principles in life. He leaves his brother and sister-in-law and goes away to gain immense power and knowledge. In the meantime, he marries and is blessed with a kid. However, Chandranath's quest to learn more drives him to leave his new family as well as he sets off to achieve new goals in life. He not only fails to fulfill his request but ends up losing his family too. On the other hand, Naren hails from a rich family and is a happy-go-lucky-natured man. He appreciates the finer aspects of life. He falls in love with a courtesan and brings her home. Caught between the two friends who have opposite ambitions in life, Heeru wonders which path would bring contentment in one's life. However, Heeru loses control of his life and slowly realizes that his life has become a mirror of Chandranath's life.
