A group of generals of the army meet for a course about NATO and new weapons. In the beginning everything is normal but as the time passes they behave more and more like school children.

Virtu and Ramon have tried to get children for a long time without success and Virtu begins to get tired of all the gynecological tests she is forced to go through. Finally, when it turns out that Ramon is sterile, Virtu suggests that they adopt, but Ramon wants a son of his own flesh and blood. As if the situation was not strained enough, Ramon's father appears after several years in prison and once again wants to become part of Ramon's life.

Adela and her baby move to Madrid in search of a new start after a tough separation. Antonia is a shop owner with three adult daughters. The film is divided into five chapters revolving around their health, work, relationships and money.

Two friends just find any temporary jobs to get by. One of them quits his job as a waiter to move to work as a messenger; the other is working as a taxi driver. The messenger, in his comings and goings at night, go through many offices, private homes and bars and will be in the most varied situations: some of them dark, sometimes sinister and pathetic and some even pleasant.

A man is released from an asylum. He lost his memory and is in search for a woman he might have killed.
