Isaak Shmaruk

Comedy film-performance of the Franko Theater based on the play by Oleksa Kolomiyets. The place of action is an ordinary village in the period of Soviet power, where all leading positions are occupied exclusively by men. But after one stormy night with songs and a lot of moonshine, the men wake up to find that now women are in charge of everything and they behave just like men.

Boris Zhadanovsky, a hereditary nobleman and officer who was predicted to have a brilliant military career, sides with the rebellious people. In 1905, Zhadanovsky is sentenced to death for his revolutionary activities. However, a powerful strike movement organized in response to the court's decision forces the tsarist government to commute the sentence to life imprisonment. After the revolution, Zhadanovsky joins the Red Army and dies fighting the White Army.

Based on a play by Ivan Franko. Anna married Mykola, but does not love him. She likes young Michael. Against the background of the picturesque Carpathian mountains in the nineteenth century unfolds the eternal drama of love and jealousy.

The February Revolution did not bring the desired peace to the trenches. Russian and Ukrainian soldiers, deceived by Kerensky's government, are dying on the slopes of the Carpathians. But the words of Bolshevik truth penetrate the trenches, and the soldiers refuse to go to the slaughter. Among the front-line soldiers returning home is a young Ukrainian named Taras Holota. He dreams of joyful reunions, but instead attends the funeral of his mother, who was killed by the Haidamaks. The landless peasantry is starving, and Golota rallies his fellow villagers to divide up the landowners' fields...

Terenty leaves the collective farm and goes to the city to study to become an agronomist. Marina works hard and looks forward to her husband's return. When her husband returns home, he reproaches his wife for being uneducated, asks for a divorce and leaves for the city. Left with her daughter, Marina devotes herself entirely to her studies and work.

Aviation school. Future officers of the jet squadron are engaged in practical studies. When performing a training assignment, cadet Korenyuk violates flight discipline. The instructor pilot, considering Korenyuk to be a talented cadet, forgives him for this offense. When, during another training flight, Korenyuk dives onto a fishing vessel, cadet Bukreev, who is in the cockpit, takes the blame. Bukreyev is arrested for ten days...
