During the Spanish Civil War, a group of comics lightens the days of the Republican troops. Tired of life in the front lines, they make their way to Valencia, accidentally entering enemy land and falling prisoner.

Amós is a sailor and owner of a ship. He is impatient with the arrival of his uncle who returns from the Soviet Union, after having exiled there after the Civil War. They have no time to meet because the old man unexpectedly dies. Amos knows, thanks to the letters his mother received, that his uncle had a treasure. However, this one is not among the objects that were in the old man's room.

Chusa shares a flat in central Madrid with her cousin Jaime and her lover Alberto. The group makes ends meet by smuggling and selling drugs from Morocco. They take in a naive young woman, Elena, and decide to include her in their next scheme although this will prove complicated.

Justino was working in a bull-ring but now he is retired. For him it is very difficult to adapt to the new situation although he will find soon a hobby without forgetting his profession.

Atilano Bermejo is a petty crook who gets involved in the scam of his life: to be Prime Minister. His charisma and lack of social concern make him an ideal political candidate for a group of bankers looking for a good public image behind which to hide and disguise their ambitions.

A German bank buys a small Spanish entity and announces to its employees that it will pre-retire them on January 1st. The cashier Galindo proposes his fellow coworkers a plan to steal a large sum of euros which will arrive on New Year's Eve.

Matias is a soccer referee. He promised his dying mother never to lie. When he referees a match of the spanish national team and there is a clear penalty against Spain in the last minute of the game he has no choice and marks the foul. As a result Spain does not qualify for the world championship and Matias is forced to escape from the rage of the people. He hides in the town of his father which he hasn't visited since his childhood.

A group of Africans clandestinely reaches the coast of southern Spain. Among them is Alou, a 28 years old Senegalese. As all his belongings are stolen while in Almsería, he has no choice but to engage in street vending. His only pleasure are the letters he writes to his family to tell the vicissitudes of his Spanish adventure.

Spain. Faced with the progressive aging of the population and the dire economic situation, the Administration launches an assisted euthanasia campaign aimed at so-called -unproductive beings-. Keen to get their hands on the amount of money set for the substitution of the old man, the Arevalo family will try to get rid of Granddad unaware that he has plans of his own.

La que se avecina is a Spanish television comedy created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The TV-series focusing around the inhabitants of Mirador de Montepinar, a fictional building located on the outskirts of a big city. Both its storylines and cast are heavily based on Aquí no hay quien viva, which ended when Telecinco bought Miramón Mendi, the series production company. The episodes debuted on the Telecinco network, and were later rerun by the same network as well as cable/satellite channels FactoríaDeFicción and Paramount Comedy. The series debuted in 22 April 2007 and became popular thanks to its funny characters, witty script, use of catchphrases and capacity to integrate and poke fun at contemporary issues; the program presents a caustic satire of many of the 'types' found in Spanish society. The name of the show involves wordplay, as "vecina" is the Spanish word for neighbour.

A group of urbanites flee the city for different reasons: existential, economic crisis, need for fresh air, search for peace, inspiration to compose ... The intention of these strangers is to settle in an abandoned town and start their lives from scratch, but when they arrive they discover that there are still some neighbors: rural people with a very different way of seeing life.

A twist of fate has it, however, that Norma remains undiscovered; her former fear and powerlessness turn to empowerment and confidence. Then a second murder stirs up the waters. Now an unlikely team, Maite and Tomás resume the hunt for a murderer who is closer than they imagine.

Max is a Jack Russell dog genetically modified for criminal purposes so he is able to talk. Running away from the criminals he's working for, he is wounded, then saved by detective-wannabe Alberto, who is fire and house-hunting. They end up staying with Alberto's sister-in-law Marta and her two children. Thanks to them all, Alberto finally manages to be a detective, and he and Max establish their detective agency: Sabuesos.
