Gaby, a gay guy, lives with his sick father. One day Salvador, an ex-lover, appears in his apartment, who comes to borrow money from him and to ask him to be a couple again.

A view of the end-of-the-century Mexican family. A father who comes back home after a long absence, but who would rather be somewhere else. A daughter suffering from a trapped pain. A son full of guilt and recriminations. A little kid who soaks up all the tension in the house, like a sponge, and a self-effacing mother who would like to go away and leave everything behind.

A dull man is obsessed with a woman who, fed up with him, decides to end their affair. Meanwhile, his wife struggles with the decision to divorce. In his desperation, he seeks solace from a friend, who harbors resentment over the wife's preference for the man. This friend ultimately confronts him with the harsh reality of his life.
