Arne and his younger brother Malte run the scrapyard they inherited from their parents on the outskirts of Hamburg and live a rather disoriented existence. One day, Malte finds an abandoned baby. He immediately takes the little one to his heart and wants to look after the child until he finds the birth mother. His brother Arne doesn't like the idea at all, but Malte wants to go through with the plan and even threatens to sell his brother the scrapyard. Disgruntled, Arne finally agrees and, as Malte is fully occupied with caring for the baby, sets off on a laborious search for the raven mother.

Inspector Dupin finds himself entangled in several mysteries at once: the discovery of a corpse on a remote Atlantic island, the mystery surrounding a Celtic musical instrument, and the search for the true cause of a tragedy.

The ghosts of a middle-aged woman and a precocious little girl help an unwed jazz musician and a bar dancer reverse their bad fortune.

Inspector Dupin actually wanted to spend his honeymoon with his wife Claire in a famous wine region, but when a murder occurs, the vacation is over.

A homosexual couple in Berlin, one of whom has a fervent desire to adopt, discovers that the other already has a son. They are able to track him down near Lübeck, but meeting his biological father, the owner of a travesty club, is initially a disappointment for the young man, a sportsman with professional dreams. Only slowly and with great difficulty do the two of them come closer together and consider a solution to all their problems.

Law student Ben has only ever received a monthly check from his father. So he moves in with him - and discovers the unexpected: grumpy loner Alexander Yorck (Heinz Hoenig) has lung cancer, is seeing a very young woman - and turns out to be a professional killer... A bit too much of a good thing. Filius should have left it at a check.

What hurts more: losing the wife to her younger lover after 21 years of marriage or having to share a lottery win with her after the breakup? The parcel carrier Henry doesn't want to give up half of his unexpected wealth because of the divorce. While his wife Ellen wants to make a clean break with the new beginning, he tries to save the long-hopeful marriage, but only on paper. The disappointment hurts too much to share the cash fairly! Neither his own daughter, who needs money for a journalism school, nor his best friend Mehmet know about the new fortune. His "favorite colleague" Mona either doesn't like the fact that Henry doesn't tell her the truth. She doesn't really recognize Henry anymore, with whom she has fallen in love. Ellen is also surprised that Henry, who is chronically exhausted, can afford an expensive racing horse. But there's a reason for the secrecy, because Henry wants to make his dream come true to win the Grand Prix of Germany. His maxim: Believe in losers too!
