This satirical anthology tells the surreal stories of a gift for Don Horacio, a trip to the beach for Bermejo, a life-changing relationship between Tina and the young immigrant Ayoub, and a new client for a company that specializes in excuses.

Maria has just moved into a decaying flat in a poor neighbourhood. She left her family in the countryside because she could no longer stand her father's authority. Pregnant by a man who refuses to see her, Maria gets by as a cleaning-woman. When her father is brought to the city for an operation, her mother moves into her flat.

Rosa, a fifty-five year old single woman, and Sabina, a Cuban girl of 25, are neighbors and share a rooftop terrace in the city. Two uprooted women. They haven't met but they share a lot in common, both having left their home and past behind.
