Building Inspector Tony (Tony Leung Ka Fai) investigates an old abandoned building in a deserted plant site and falls victim to a restless demon, who wants to resurrect into Tony's body. However, the spirit of a young woman (Rosamund Kwan) suddenly appears, saves Tony, and accidentally sucks some of his life force, thereby, sharing his feelings and emotions. The ghost falls in love with Tony, but he wants to use her to help him woo his gorgeous colleague (Ellen Chan).

A fish-out-of-water comedy where the fish can set people on fire! Wendy (Chingmy Yau) arrives in Hong Kong to stay with her aunt Big Beer (Deannie Ip), who shares a space with her landlord Charles (Lawrence Cheng). There’s just one problem: Wendy can set things on fire with her mind. Her pyrokinetic powers are accompanied with some bad luck, so the victim usually gets a double whammy of charred flesh and misfortune.

George Lam is a famous conductor, Maggie Cheung an auto-mechanic; he rides a portable bicycle, she a motorcycle. Somehow, together, they find time to deal with some troublesome teens (Jacky Cheung, Vivian Chow) and fall in love.

Carole and Mandy have just become neighbors in a luxury apartment complex. Mandy is a successful career woman, educated and independent. Carole is a kept woman, dreaming of the day when her businessman lover will divorce his wife to marry her. Through Mandy, Carole meets Edgar, a neurotic headwaiter. She breaks off her affair with the businessman, but Edgar is still masochistically involved with his old girlfriend Alice. Carole realizes that she still has a lot to learn about life. The plays turns out to be a complete failure however - and is the last straw for his wife (Anita Mui), who quietly leaves him. Marriage isn't working out too well for his friend Wa (Kenny Bee) either: Fed up with a husband who spends too much time at work and not enough at home, Wa's wife (Pat Ha) suddenly leaves. Things finally look up for Sun when he produces a popular play starring rich girl Hung (Cherie Chung) and the two begin dating. But it turns out Wa also has his eyes on Hung...
