A widower and his daughter deal with the death of the man's wife.

Middle-aged Riichi Takamiya drives the midnight bus between Tokyo and snow-swept Niigata, where he lives. Just as the relationship with his younger girlfriend is about to bloom, his emotionally desperate ex-wife suddenly reappears.

Tachibana was once in the limelight as a nature photographer famous for a TV program following his adventure but forced into debts from his agency. Alone and without dreams, he abandons his camera and spends his life paying off the debts. But one day, from taking a photo of his mother's friend, his life with a camera starts moving again. Tachibana, now in 40s, starts a studio at a share residence and seeks for his resurrection.

Young-hee visits a peaceful seaside village after losing husband and son meets Jun-woo who also comes to the village for 6-weeks rest after going through retirement and wife’s affair. One late night, Jun-woo who’s suffering insomnia sleep walks into sea, but Young-hee saves him. Young-hee notices Jun-woo’s broken heart and tries to help him by taking care of his summer cottage. Despite the different background, they slowly get closer and classic music becomes an instrument connecting hearts of these two lonely and hurt souls.

About a salaryman who is about to be retrenched and to make things worse, his family walks out on him. He is given a chance to reverse his fortune when he is sent to help a struggling ballet company financed by his company so that their year-end performance "Swan Lake" can be a success despite knowing nothing about ballet.
