Shortly before the end of the war in 1945, the Allies can already be heard in Nesselbühl in Swabia when three freight cars are uncoupled at the station. The screams of the starving concentration camp prisoners inside can be heard throughout the village, but nobody dares to help them. Only the innkeeper's daughter Anna takes heart...

Private eye Dold, a specialist in surveillance tasks, is sent to investigate a Frankfurt bordello boss. He's a pain in the butt for many in the red-light district and is to be overthrown to pave the way for financially strong speculators to lucratively redevelop the area. Dold, who always saw his work as morally justified, comes to doubt the rightness of his actions far too late.

Lashing rain, thunderstorms, fog and a godforsaken, eerie train station: the mood among the six travelers who have to wait for their connecting train here in the middle of the night is extremely tense. In keeping with the gloomy scenery, the station master also tells his involuntary guests the story of the ghost train ...

Insurance man Max has tried out all the ladies in his shared flat, but it's not until he meets Laura on vacation that things really spark. Marriage and having children are the order of the day. But although Max is potent, he is unfortunately infertile. So Laura wants to have the offspring fathered by a surrogate. Max's best friend Mani, of all people, wins the bid. When his boss starts to get nasty with him, Max snaps and retreats to a men's camp for a macho course. The level of humor in this comedy corresponds to the advertising slogan: "If your own man can't do it, how about a hired man".

Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

Aktenzeichen XY … ungelöst is a German television programme broadcast since October 1967 on ZDF that aims to combat and solve crimes. Until 2003 it was produced in co-operation with the Austrian public service broadcaster ORF and Schweizer Fernsehen, a division of the Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR idée suisse. It was the basis for the BBC show Crimewatch, the Dutch show Opsporing Verzocht and its US equivalent America's Most Wanted.

Graf Yoster gibt sich die Ehre [French title: Le comte Yoster a bien l'honneur] is a TV series which followed the adventures of the title’s amateur gentleman detective. It was a success in particular in Germany and in France. Originally the show was a German production in black-and-white but it evolved into a European co-production in colour.
