A clash of two cultures, one primitive and the other exotic wild and cunning, but both of them with a violence and crime story, will face with each other in a house.

Story happens in the first days after NATO troops enter Kosova. After the signing of the military agreement in Kumanovo, in the house of the retarded, the guards and employees leave their places and flee. Inmates are all retarded but they have a special philosophy of life, they have their wishes and their dreams. Being free gives them a chance to make dreams come true, but they are confronted with a reality and environment, which in one way or another is very different. From the moment of getting out the fences, they are conflicted with people that call themselves free. Gradually this conflict roughens and with it degenerates the meaning of freedom. There are three main characters, Kukum, Mara and Hasan.

The first payment Lisi (13) decides to share among friends from work, as a real man. Friends want rakia. Lisi will drink rakia, he already knows it is not easy to be an adult. But how can it become immediately so unstable? The one who can be very sweet with him behaves so mean to the friend next to him. They are still laughing, some are frowning. There is also a shout. Friends are drunk, they behave as children, so Lis has the time to show how grown up is he.

Fahrije’s husband has been missing since the war in Kosovo so she sets up her own small business to provide for her kids, but as she fights against a patriarchal society that does not support her, she faces a crucial decision: to wait for his return, or to continue to persevere.

Set during the Kosovo war, an Albanian doctor treats a local Serbian family in a small village and is accused of being a traitor by the local people.
