A tragicomic tale of lumberjack who joined the partisans during WW2. As a corporal, he successfully and courageously fulfilled the combat tasks with his partisan battalion. The commander sends him on a special assignment.

A young boy, Ive, and his friends set sail on the sea in order to try and repay his father's debts. They name their boat "Sinji galeb". Soon, the pirate Lorenco and his gang notice the children on their boat.

The plot of the drama begins with the murder of an officer of the occupying forces. The town’s commander issues a strange order: let the locals choose a victim for revenge. This is how the righteous judge Blaz gets to the center of the action.

Old woman was taken by her son to live in the big city. She finds adapting difficult and longs for return home.

While visiting his relatives in the city, a curious village boy sits on a motorcycle which starts right off, which causes lots of trouble to him and his parents.

Marko is a boy whose family finds himself in a difficult situation after his mother is severely ill. Although doctors perform a successful operation, the father abandons wife and son. In such a situation, Marko must be too early to grow up.

Europe in second half of 16th century was very rough place to live. Peasants of Slovenia and Croatia had even rougher times because of the constant threat of Turk raids and being taxed to death in order to provide defence against the Turks. But, the worst things were arrogant local feudal lords led by Franjo Tahi who were oppresing the common folk. All that led to the great peasant revolt of 1573. The movie is made for the 400th anniversary of the event.

The adaptation of Hans Cristian Andersen's tale filmed on a white background. It is also the first Croatian movie in color.
