He wants to have a father by his own choice, not his mother's. It seems that the teacher suits most of the boy's idea of a father. And the boy gains what he always wants.

Thirty-five old Nikola comes back home after he had left a year ago, in a quarrel. His father Vlado and mother Anica came to Germany when they were young, looking for happiness.

Three Poplars
