In the revolutionary year of 1968, Stane is an active rebel student. Mojca is a freshman, has a boyfriend named Vid, whom she met at the carnival party. There she also met her later husband Stane. Vid leaves for military service, while Stane successfully avoids it. During the glorification of this event, Mojca and Stane come together intimately. Upon his return from the army, Vid discovers this love triangle. Stane and Mojca get married. The death of the child and the awareness that Stane is cheating on her, leads Mojca to divorce.

Two partisan miners are entrusted with the task of honor to transfer safely three orphan children from a dangerous zone of fighting to the safe liberated territory. In the beginning the two miners feel humiliated because they would like to engage in more important action, but later they become big friends with the children, especially with Peter, the youngest one.

As she tries to cope with the changes in Yugoslav rural life brought about by increasing modernization, the Widow Karolina wishes she had become a mother. As difficult as things are for her, they are nonetheless much more difficult for her more-conservative and less-thoughtful neighbors.

The protagonist is a young man, a former athlete, now a gym teacher. He is essentially a disappointed idealist who distances himself from the world and himself with irony and self-irony. His indifferent attitude towards life undergoes a slight change when he meets the headmistress of the rural school where he also teaches.

The film is based on a novel by Ivan Tavcar and was adapted for the screen by Andrej Hieng. It is set at the end of the 17th century in the area that is now Slovenia at a time of religious intolerance with Amandus, a Catholic priest, determined to persecute local Protestants.

At the end of the last century hunters who hunted wild roosters, while waiting for prey to show up, were killing time with storytelling. The first story is about Jernac that had a fight with Tomas because of Rezika. Another story tells about Tincek, limp foundling, who spent his youth with the Komar family, where he fell in love with their Lencka. The third is the story of a rich Miholac whose attention was grabbed by poor Polonca, a romance that was opposed by his father. The central theme of all stories is love that eventually everybody die of.

A story set in a Slovenian village during Italian occupation. Stefuc, a man who has been widowed twice and has four daughters, wants to get married for the third time with Zana, who's already engaged and pregnant with Ludvik. Stefuc tries to separate them away, but realizes that he'll have to marry Hedvika, a nice looking girl who has just returned from Milan. In the meantime, Italian fascist authorities decide to eradicate five Slovenian songs with the help of local traitors.

Three years later, Tomaz meets Milena in Ljubljana where she practices dancing. In order to spend more time with her, Tomaz enrolls at the dance club where he finds many new friends. As the club is faced with close-down, the members decide to save it by setting up a dance show for the urban elite.

Duša is a young dancer and dance instructor. Torn between a dominant mother, an absent father and a married lover, she is sinking into a typical crisis of the thirties, which gets worse when she starts suspecting that someone has been following her and invading her privacy.

The story of a few untrained construction workers from poor underdeveloped parts of the country, such as Bosnia and Herzegovina or Macedonia, who carry out seasonal work in the highly-developed republic of Slovenia. Far from home, problems arise for the men - with their families, alcohol, the local population's derision and the "real Slovenian workers".

Old man Repovz recalls experiences of the WWII in an entertaining, comic way rather than tragic. A man breaks his arm to avoid being drafted; the other man shoots fire to scare enemy soldiers; love stories, as well as troubles with forced collectivization took place there. A partisan hero finds out that he lost her fiancee, but somewhat cheers up when his white horse comes back to him...

A thief commits daring robberies (a la Raffles) in Slovenia during the 1920s. While he romances the ladies a persistent detective tries to hunt him down and bring him to justice.

An elderly woman pays visit to her mother who resides in nursing home. Few days later she receives a telegram that the mother died, but it turns out that the address it was sent to was wrong. However the guilt of neglect starts to torment the mourning daughter nonetheless.

In the seventies, in the slightly envious country, you come to the cooperative sawmill, the Štefan season, which gets entangled with an older village girl, Anica, so she gets pregnant. This obstructs his life plans: get a quick start to get enough to travel to Australia. Jože also comes to Slovenia with Štefan, who is a native but lives a distant life of a special person. Anika's older sister, Marta, is married, but without children. It turns out that they used to love Marta before, and then Jose escaped to study the theology, which he never completed. Anxious Anica succumbs to her sister's escalating hatred of men, so poorly crap Martin's advice is to close Stephen somewhere until forced into marriage. The events in the temple where Štefan is closed is culminating in a mission in a village church. At the time of the death of the old Martnjakovka, Aničina and Martina mothers, the events went wrong in the crime ...

Depicts many funny and satirical tales from Giovanni Boccaccio. Around 200 actors, among them almost all the greatest of the time, with Stane Sever at the helm. He played a mischievous writer who, in each episode, leads viewers into new intriguing stories of the human spirit. After the eighth part, he was replaced by Stevo Žigon due to his death. In 2013, the series was digitized and restored. After many years, it was then broadcast again, but not in the original order.

The series illustrates an everyday life of ordinary people, various complications and tangles.
