Takuji Ichikawa

Along with his young son, Ji-ho, Woo-jin misses his wife Soo-a, who died after promising to return a year later with the rainy season. Miraculously, they reunite with Soo-a when the rainy season comes around, but she has no memory of her husband and son whom she dearly loved.

Takumi and his six-year-old son, Yuji, haven't come to terms with their wife and mother's death. One day, they meet a woman with an uncanny resemblance to her sheltering from the rain near their home.

Amateur photographer Makoto and the homely but endearing Shizuru meet during their university entrance ceremony and become instant friends. Shy by nature, Makoto finds himself opening up around Shizuru, who is secretly in love with him.

"Say Hello for Me" is a love story and talks about three people's childhood friendship and their reunion after 15 years of separation.

"Mommy will be back in the rainy season." Mio Aio wrote these words in a picture book just before passing away. Though six-year old Yuji accepts his mother's death, he still believes the promise his mother made. Then the rainy season comes, and Yuji and his father, Takumi, meet a woman in the downpour that bears an uncanny resemblance to Mio, but has no recollection of who she is. Taking her in, they reacquaint her with her former self and family life returns to normal as memories come flooding back.
