In 1962, a photographer working for a crime reports newspaper in Valparaiso, Chile, is obsessed with creating a photo novel that will revolutionize the art world. Helped by its neighbors, humiliated by their producers, but determined to make his ambitious project a reality, the photographer will betray -one after another- their unusual theories, neighbors, colleagues, their love and finally himself.

Gustavo Ortíz is a university student from a comfortable, middle class family who is forced to spend his summer vacation cleaning pools when his parents are struck down with financial problems. The Fate of Mankind will change forever when Doctor Wolfgang Araksen -facing his young wife's Alzheimer disease- will take a decision of no return: Implanting her with a brain Chip with Artificial Intelligence, which merging with her consciousness will change the face of the planet and send Humanity in a cycle of destruction, madness and diseases from where there is no come back... Araksen now nuclear refugee along with 256 millions refugees will have to struggle to face this new life, and die many times till he finds the courage to become what he is meant to be: Araks, the Healer, the Leader and the Warrior that will fix what is not easy to fix: the Path of a perturbed, scared and controlled Mankind, to recover its way in this Dystopian world and secret experiment.

Rony is an ordinary man sentenced to 15 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. In jail he will have to face the gangs and hard life behind bars while he dreams of recovering his family and proving his innocence.

Lucía is a greedy mother who needs to feel young, seductive and atractive when she is in her sixties. She will do anything at hand to get what she wants, this behaviour will lead to the total destruction of her dysfunctional family.

Ivan is a kid whose family decides to go back to Chile from New York, after at least a decade away. Ivan of course is not quite the Chilean kid his grandparents would like him to be: he sulks, misses the Opera, finds things odd and ugly, acting like a real "little gringo" (hence the title).
