An autobiographical bittersweet drama centered on Contarello’s rapport with his daughter.

This is the story of Enrico Berlinguer’s solitude and success during his years as General Secretary of the PCI—from 1972 until his death while addressing a rally in Padua on June 11, 1984—told through the eyes of a young Walter Veltroni. The narrative is complemented by previously unseen archival material, interviews with key political figures (both Italian and international, such as Napolitano and Gorbachev), and footage shot in the Sardinian locations that were dear to Berlinguer.

Waiting for the train that will take him away, a man goes back over moments of his small-town upbringing: the relationship with his family, his involvement in the protests of 1968 and a childhood friend died too soon.

After the death of his estranged father, professional rainbow-watcher Stefano finds out he has a 13-year-old half-brother, and that he must become his legal guardian to receive the inheritance.
