Pixie Hopkin

First of two films that make up the collaborative film "Los Bienamados" (The Beloved, 1965). It narrates the encounters and misunderstandings of a pair of lovers during the years, from their adolescence to maturity.

Written by future Nobel-prize winner Gabriel García Márquez, this is the story of Patsy, a wealthy debutante with an acute sense of living and boundless curiosity. She falls in love with an older man (Julio Alemán) whom is married and mediocre, and thus learns the hard way about unhappiness, marring her rose colored world.

An American actress travels to Mexico to make a movie and brings her daughter with her. Upon arriving in Mexico, she is spotted by a drug dealer who also heads a kidnapping ring. He plants one of his drug-addicted "customers" with the actress as her nanny in order to be kidnap the child for ransom, but things don't work out as planned.

Two friends on a summer getaway find and fall for a mysterious woman who will change their lives forever.

As a teenager and student at a convent school, young Mariana runs away with her boyfriend, provoking the wrath of her father who sends her to Switzerland for ten years.
