A teenager who's been raised and home-schooled on her father's Texan ranch must adjust to her new surroundings with other students when she's sent to a San Antonio high school.

Following the death of her fiancé, Margot Weston is left pregnant and unmarried. Former doctor Jim Howard helps the desperate Margot. When her son is born, Jim helps her find a home for the baby with Phil Marshall and his wife. Margot insists that neither the Marshalls nor the child can ever know that she is his mother.

The Jones family (without father) head for California to open a bungalow court. To increase business they advertise for families with children and pets. A neighbor threatens to sue.

A couple can't make ends meet. He is an airplane mechanic and makes extra money testing planes. When the baby arrives things get better.
