Three short films by Sergei Parajanov, Hakob Hovnatanyan (1967), Kyiv Frescoes (1966) and Arabesques on the Theme of Pirosmani (1986). Scanned and restored from the original camera negatives in 4K by Fixafilm. Produced in association with National Cinema Centre of Armenia (NCCA), Dovzhenko Centre and Georgian Film. Parajanov's collage of all the footage that remained from his film "Kyiv Frescoes," which was halted by the Soviet authorities who demanded that all the negatives be destroyed.

The story that happened on the farm near Dikanka on the night before Christmas, when the village blacksmith Vakula, having saddled the Devil, brought to his beloved Oksana, the daughter of a rich Cossack Chub, queen's "сherevichki"(the little women shoes) from the capital — St. Petersburg.

XVIII century. In the town square of Lviv, Ukrainian city under the Austrian yoke, there is a trade in humans. This displeases Cossacks led by student Maxim Zaruba, for which the rioters arrested. Showing ingenuity and resourcefulness, heroes seize the ship, attacking the fortress and freed slaves.

Germany, 1944. A group of international soldiers are trying to prevent Germans from finalizing research and development of FAU-2 rockets.

The film tells the story of the life and customs of a Ukrainian village in the distant past. After a heavy drinking binge, the village elder, having lost track of the days, decides to drink every second day instead of every day. Angry that no one was tearing leaves off the calendar, he forbids the youth to gather in the evenings for festivities. But it id in the evening that Alyonushka and Timish's first date is to take place. The clever boys and girls decide to help the lovers and get the foreman drunk enough to make him forget about his ban.

October 20, 1944, Belgrade was liberated by Red Army and Tito's partisans. But the capital of Yugoslavia is still fraught with danger - retreating aggressor mined the city . A special partisan squad goes into underground maze of tunnels to find and disarm explosives which are still guarded by SS special forces.
