A story about the first childish sin: the first attempt to defeat the enemy, to walk a forbidden road and to revenge.

Documentary Sublime Thirst looks at the paradox of scarcity and lack in nature and human fulfilment. A team of philosophers, physicists, theologians, anthropologists, psychologists and economists reveal lack as a universal code of being, the 'perpetuum mobile' behind everything in our universe. The film is based on a multidisciplinary research that reignites scholarly interest in the phenomenon of lack.

The story of the film is based on the artist’s home videos and documentary material covering a decade of his creative work. The author presents his apartment as a living space and the main character of the film. By engaging his entire family in the project, he creates a new micro-social model of his home, where they all act according to self-imposed rules. Events that take place are both casual and creative: the living space becomes a stage, routine becomes performance and the other way round, art projects become family entertainment, as well as a radical transformation of the home.

The film portrays Lukša's attempts, in trips to western Europe, to gain support for the armed anti-Soviet resistance (known as the Forest Brothers), whose fortunes in a guerrilla war against Soviet authorities were waning, largely due to widespread infiltration and harsh crackdowns by the NKVD.

The film features an incredibly low angel’s flight over the dunes of Nida, Trakai castle, the lakes of Aukstaitija (Highlands), the roofs of the Old Town of Vilnius and the fantastically beautiful church steeples. It’s like a mystical gliding just above the treetops, meadows covered by early morning mist, as well as the narrow streets of Vilnius.
