The story follows Nuar, a young man with a stammer who works as an assistant at Mak Andak's biscuit shop. Nuar is in love with Mak Andak's daughter, Ina. Ina's mother, Mak Andak, forbids Ina from being close to Nuar because he is lazy. Moreover, Mak Andak has already chosen Badrol, a hotel manager, as a prospective husband for Ina.
