A young television technician is fascinated by the "remote transmission of images and sound" – he has a job he never dreamed of. But can a person fulfill their dreams in communist Czechoslovakia in the 1950s without getting involved with the regime?

A historical film with balladic features set in 1348, when Europe was struggling with the greatest plague epidemic to date. The film strives to portray the Middle Ages as authentically as possible and to create a specific symbolic space in which ideas, dreams, and cultural archetypes are as tangible as beings and objects.

But when the have-nots become haves, they continue to see themselves as victims of the hordes baying for what is justly theirs, and they have neither the energy nor the security to enjoy what they have obtained. The movie takes place in the microcosm of a small apartment building. The principal goal of the young people who share rooms in the building is to move into their own room and, some day, a real apartment. They scheme to get what they're after: form short-lived alliances, petition, frighten, marry, become pregnant, anything that might work. Lovers & Murderers presents Páral's vision of mankind caught in a cyclical process in which ideology pales before the pettiness, cruelty, and self-justification of human nature.

A group therapy session unites three scorned wives as they help one another destroy the lives and careers of their selfish, unfaithful husbands.

The story of Zdeněk Troška's new comedy, which was inspired by countless stone jokes, takes us to a peaceful South Bohemian town. A whole range of typically Czech characters and prototype families live here with their unchanging rhythm. For example, the Nováks. Pepa's father is a captain of the city police, his wife Vilma is a teacher, his daughter Julia is studying health, and nine-year-old Pepíček comments in an unspeakable way on everything that is happening around. The boy literally starts to have eyes on top of his head when a noble couple arrives in Kameňákov from England, to whom the local castle was returned as part of the restitution. Nothing is hidden in a small town, and soon everyone knows that the lord has come here to look for his father's treasure. Such news will bring the whole of Kameňákov to its feet and literally keep three local mafia members, the rich Kohn, the handsome chief of police and the experienced criminal, awake. And then things start to happen...

Kameňák 2, inspired again by well-known and less well-known stone jokes (director Zdeněk Tročko received an incredible sixty thousand of them from the audience!) directly follows the first part, which ends with the gushing of a blue erectile spring from the rock at the Kameňákov castle. The miraculous effect of the blue spring on potency causes an unprecedented uproar in the town, and even old Kropáčková experiences its beneficial power. However, as suddenly as the spring appeared, it also disappeared. But did it really disappear? And where? The insidious granny Kropáčková knows this best, who in the second part becomes a terror to the young men in the town. The disappearance of the blue spring of a lucrative business has not let even the local mafia sleep. All traces lead unmistakably to the Kropáčková house in the manor house...

Together, they tell a romantic story based on real events in a completely original form. The main character takes us through a period of her life when she was capable of doing almost anything for love.

Actor Milan lost his job and is trying unsuccessfully to find new employment. He is struggling to support his large family, while his wife Karolína, the wife of a business tycoon, longs in vain for at least one child. Their paths cross when she is looking for a donor of high-quality sperm and Milan is still unemployed...

And does the rule "the more, the better" apply in this case too?

Based on real characters and events, this haunting drama focuses on the personal sacrifice of a Prague history student, Jan Palach, who set himself on fire in protest against the Soviet occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1969. Dagmar Burešová, a young female lawyer, became part of his legacy by defending Jan's family in a trial against the communist government, a regime which tried to dishonour Palach’s sacrifice, a heroic action for the freedom of Czechoslovakia.
