An elderly trumpeter Oleg, stuck in the routine of the orchestra pit and his own failures, suddenly finds himself on the brink of change. His familiar world begins to collapse, and the management sends him into retirement. The "pit" seems hopeless. But one fateful night in the cemetery changes everything.

The 17-year-old heroine of the film, Loza, arriving in a big city, gets into a whirlpool of terrible troubles. At a critical moment, she is saved by a real hero — charming and strong. He lives some kind of special life. He speaks poetry and tells amazing stories. Their relationship is developing rapidly, but for some reason he avoids intimacy.
