Rita is a naive 18-year-old from the sticks who has come to Moscow to meet up with the man who impregnated her a few months earlier. Based on the novel by Booker Prize Winner Ludmila Ulitskaya, The Funeral Party is set in August 1991. In a sweltering New York City apartment, a group of Russian émigrés gathers round the deathbed of an artist named Alik, a charismatic character beloved by them all, especially the women who take turns nursing him as he fades from this world. Their reminiscences of the dying man and of their lives in Russia are punctuated by debates and squabbles: Whom did Alik love most? Should he be baptized before he dies, as his alcoholic wife, Nina, desperately wishes, or be reconciled to the faith of his birth by a rabbi who happens to be on hand? And what will be the meaning for them of the Yeltsin putsch, which is happening across the world in their long-lost Moscow but also right before their eyes on CNN?

Three people in the cab of truck: Alexei the driver, his partner Nikolai, and Marina, a prostitute they picked up on their way. Or so it seems... In fact, all three are police detectives. Their task: to uncover a gang that has been robbing long-haul trucks.

Boris hides in a village barn, where he is discovered by the 10-year–old son of the hostess, Anna.

However, this year one opponent has prepared an unusual strategy. When posing for the photographers and shaking hands with the intelligent and constrained Champion, the Opponent quietly tells him that he spent the night with the Champion’s wife.

The history of the series develops around three Suvorov graduates - Ilya Sukhomlin, Stepan Perepechko and Alexei Syrnikov, who entered the Moscow Higher Military Command School at the end of the summer, where each of them is awarded the rank of junior sergeant. Along with the Suvorovites, graduates of ordinary schools, without a military education, called "schoolchildren" - Dmitry Krasilnikov, Gennady Varnava and Nikolai Kovnadsky, enter the school. The third side is made up of the so-called "army men" - Evgeny Bragin, Sergey Gonchar and Stepan Prokhorov - who have already served as conscripts in the army and have more practice than theory. Later, Maxim Makarov, transferred from St. Petersburg for a fight with a colleague, joins the main characters. Aleksey Syrnikov, meanwhile, is being transferred to the Ryazan Airborne School, which he dreamed about while still being a Suvorovite.

The series tells about the life of the business center "Nightingale", in which the private security company "Kedr" works. Lev Borisovich, the head of the PSC, is, as he himself believes, not only a guardian of material, but also moral and ethical values. In his subordination are four guards - Fedya, Tolya, Slava and newcomer Andrey. Andrey dreams of becoming a rock star, so he does not value the work of a security guard, but on the very first working day he meets Snezhana, a spa worker, and slowly gets drawn into the workplace of the business center. It is not an action movie with Jason Statham, it's just a story about a couple of days from the humble life of the guards of the Nightingale business center
