Fear and panic descend upon the city when a couple fell to their deaths from a tall building. The perpetrator was discovered to be Kalsom, a ghost spirit, who is seeking vengeance for a series of cold-blooded murders the couple committed. This is probably the first supernatural horror film made in Singapore-Malaya.

Khatijah is a greedy and insecure stepmother who hates her stepdaughter, Fatimah. While her husband is away, she hires an assassin to murder Fatimah. But the assassin sympathizes with Fatimah and, instead of killing her, cuts off one of her hands which he shows to Khatijah as a proof of her death.

Kassim (P. Ramlee) returns to Singapore after finishing his studies in London and is thrust into a betrothal with the daughter of his father’s benefactor, Salmah. However, Kassim has already met and fallen in love with someone who shares his interest in Persian poetry. She is Rahimah, a flower salesgirl in Singapore. They go on dates to the nursery, and spend time together (dancing) in a paradise-like garden (Alkaff Gardens). Even after Kassim returns to Kuala Lumpur to work in his benefactor’s rubber plantation, he never forsakes Rahimah and has a rendezvous with her in Singapore when the opportunity arises. Together again, they watch movies at the Rex Theatre, and vow to get married. Unfortunately, Kassim’s father insists on him marrying his benefactor’s daughter, Salmah, who is a rich and cultured girl. Kassim decides to fulfil his father’s death wish and marries Salmah. Eventually, fate brings Kassim to reunite with Rahiman again in their twilight years.

The film tells the story of a young Javanese man, Ahmad, who leaves his village with a magic protective dagger given to him by his mother. He takes to the seas, eager to discover the world. He reaches the exotic Arabian coast, and travels all the way to Egypt, encountering belly dancers, harem women, etc. He meets Princess Nilam and falls in love. Nilam's father will allow Ahmad to marry her only if he brings back a blue diamond guarded by monsters at a faraway location.

This story deals with the distinction and status of Singapore society when it is viewed differently depending on each other. But the story of a child named Samad change public perceptions of different social status. Samad a child who is looking for his sister Maimonides broken the news after his sister married and moved to Singapore. After finding her brother in Singapore, Samad independently find the money to reduce the burden of his brother who was divorced and became a dancer dance. Wahab often interfere with a criminal Maimonides in the workplace. Wahab made a pact with Hassan and Seman to kidnap the heir uncle uncle Hassan Baruddin own. Hassan intention, when it had no heir of his uncle he would be his successor. Heirs to the estate of Mr. Karim Baruddin is identical face with Samad, Just living standard differences that set them apart. What will happen to Karim and whether the kidnapping was linked with Samad?

A married couple, Kantan and Tanjung have been married for quite sometime but they still do not have a kid. At last Tanjung got pregnant but she gave great inconvenience to her husband, Kantan. For example, she longs for food that are really hard to find. But Kantan do not lose hope and are very patient towards her. After a while they are blessed with a pretty daughter. They got richer but they stayed humble.
