However, his reunion with Jana - who lives in a retirement home - works out differently to his expectations. Although disappointed at first, it is actually this zestful lady who sets Ota in the right direction again. Thanks to Jana, Ota finds the courage to set out on an exciting road-movie trip of the kind he would never have had the courage for in his youth. Their meeting and the excursion, full of unexpected turns and new impressions, give their lives a new dimension.

The fate of father and son Horáček, but this time they switched roles. The film, which opens with students arriving at a police academy, is a crazy comedy that is more a series of zany episodes and jokes than a coherent story. They are linked by a simple plot in which the commander of the police academy, Major Maisner, searches among his recruits for an alleged FBI spy and, after a not-so-subtle practical joke, gets into a dispute with his subordinate, a dispute that ends in a genuine bank robbery.

In a final psychotic haze, he tends a roadside Christ statue before collapsing, his shattered life a testament to love, loss, and atrocity.

A recording of the final performance of the famous production of G. Feydeau's comedy, directed by Jiří Menzel, which was successfully performed by the Vinohrady Theater for twenty years. The fame of Feydeau's A Flea in Her Ear was established at the Vinohrady Theatre in the 1960s by director Václav Hudeček with his production starring Vlastimil Brodský in the dual lead role. The studio version is now considered a television classic. In the second half of the 1990s, the theater's dramaturgy returned to this comedy bestseller and entrusted the direction to film and theater director Jiří Menzel. Another strong generation of actors was given the opportunity. The successful premiere took place on November 15, 1996, and the production ran for twenty long years. The recording is from April 6, 2016, when the performance was staged for the 363rd and last time. The director and all those who had appeared in the comedy over the long period were in attendance.
