The Count's wife Teresa (Marta Alba) remains loyally by his side, even when he is unfaithful to her, which is often. Federico doesn't realize how important Teresa is to him, nor how much he loves her, until it's almost too late. At time of the release of Loyalty of Love, star Marta Alba had transferred her base of operations to New York, where she starred in Broadway production of Tovarich.

They return together to Sicily with Musco under the impression she comes from the continent. Leda's clothes, manners, habits and flirting ways start a small revelation-style revolution, which is not to Musco's liking. He ships Leda back to Rome, but not before learning that he has been taken in by a Scilian native, as Leda was born in a near-by town.

The shady administrator also ruins the new owners, who find themselves penniless. But in a trunk kept by the damsel there is years of correspondence between her and Baron Nigra, whose immense historical value restores the Bard family to its former glory and thus allows for a happy ending with the marriage of the two young people.

After finding a train ticket on the ground, the young Paolo decides to go by train to Venice, where he meets Clara, a beautiful girl.
