A young Holocaust survivor who descends into crime; an Italian-Jewish engineer who wants to see a movie; a German Christian who forgives her husband’s murderer because of her Buddhist faith; and a Jewish woman who carries on an affair with a Nazi and exposes members of the resistance so that she and her children may survive: their fates intersect when two bullets are fired into a queue of people waiting to see “A Man Escaped” at Tel Aviv’s Cinema North in 1957.

Dr. Shuki Chaftziva is a ballroom dancing instructor who tries his hand at match-making. He follows the obituaries and takes his client, Zigi Fuchsman, an auto mechanic and childhood friend, to comfort the mourners and check out the widow and her property. At the same time, Ben Gurion Shemesh, a grease monkey who wants to be a singer, tries to win the heart of Dina, the disco floozy and also Zigi's daughter

A nature documentary shot entirely in Israel, Land of Genesis follows three mammals in their respective geographic habitats, as the seasons change. The wolves of the Golan Heights, the swamp cats of the Sea Of Galilee, and the ibexes of the desert are shown in the most beautiful way.

The plot revolves around a married couple experiencing a midlife crisis, with ups and downs in their relationship and with their children. The film was selected as the Israeli entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 56th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee.
