Tah Tien is ostensibly a retelling of an old Thai folk tale about a battle between two giants, Yak Wat Jaeng and Yak Wat Pho.

Things seem to be normal in an area of Thailand. But then Dracula is summoned to that region from Europe. He goes after a young woman. He has a bunch of dancing female vampire servants. Devils, zombies and some other weird creatures also show up.

A film adapted from the most renowned and lengthy novel by Luang Wichitwathakan, written during a time when the values surrounding women’s rights were just beginning to be discussed in Thai society. It tells the epic life story of a strong-willed woman named Praphimpan. The film covers approximately the first ten chapters of the novel, focusing on the period when Praphimpan is arrested for allegedly murdering her former lover, as well as becoming entangled in the murder case of her close friend.

During their one-year prison sentence, Chop and Yai made up their minds to turn over a new leaf for the sake of their families, unlike Ying who declared he would return to a life of crime. The three went their separate ways. Chop returned home to find his family’s situation deteriorating. His mother had fallen ill, his younger brother Chai was a struggling scriptwriter with no sales, and his sister Chatcharee, who worked at a bar, had become the target of the bar owner, Damrongrit.

Four boys are born with strange features, one has very big ears, one has a tail, one has very big hands, one has a big nose. Becoming friends, they spend most of their time playing and sleeping. Becoming adults, their fathers banish them from the village as they are doing nothing to help the community. Just as they leave, a local mafia gang threatens the villagers to get help to cultivate opium and to provide food for their members. Meanwhile one lady wants to marry one of the boys but wishes that he can remove his tail. He refuses. At night time, while he is sleeping, she cuts his tail. He flees away but looses a lot of blood. A crazy scientific professor finds and decides to save him by using technology. He then gathers his three other friends to free the villagers from the mafia gang. A sci-fi take on a classic Thai fairy tale.

A story from the chronicles about Panthai Norasingh, who was praised for his honesty after crashing the King's royal barge into a tree branch to save his life from planned assassination, hence requesting his own execution to uphold the palace's rules.

Noi runs a rural bar and guesthouse called the Paradise Hotel. He tends bar and arm wrestles any challengers. The hotel, which has only one room, already has a guest, a man named Chana. Chana is annoyed that the hotel plays host to various musical groups, including a man who sings European opera, another man who practices the trombone, a Peking opera troupe, a Filipina ballad singer and a brass band that accompanies two bare-knuckles boxers.
