Tullio Hermil is a chauvinist aristocrat who flaunts his mistress to his wife, but when he believes she has been unfaithful he becomes enamored of her again.

In 1930s Italy, a wealthy Jewish family tries to maintain their privileged lifestyle, hosting friends for tennis and parties at their villa. As anti-Semitism intensifies under Fascism, they must ultimately face the horrors of the Holocaust.

A retired professor of American origin lives a solitary life in a luxurious palazzo in Rome. He is confronted by a vulgar Italian marchesa and her lover, her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend, and forced to rent to them an apartment on the upper floor of his palazzo. From this point on his quiet routine is turned into chaos by his tenants' machinations, and everybody's life takes an unexpected but inevitable turn.

1938 - 2018: Eighty years after the Promulgation of the Fascist Racial Laws: an important and unfortunately very topical anniversary. Eighty years ago, Italian population, who had not a tradition of anti-Semitism, was pushed by the fascist propaganda into accepting the persecution of a minority, which had been living in Italy for centuries.

The film centers on young revolutionary student Gilberto who is being sought by the police. To avoid arrest, he boards a train and travels home. The house now seems somehow haunted, as doors slam shut and shadows are seen running throughout the corridors. But Gilberto soon discovers that it's his own troubled conscience that is torn in two. He hesitates as one part tells him to accept the attraction that his father's 'world' exerts on him whilst the other orders him to destroy everything to pursue his own ideals.

K-Z is a 1972 Italian short documentary film directed by Giorgio Treves, his study of the slaughterhouse in the centre of Turin as an allegory of a German concentration camp. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short.
