In 1940's Madrid. Juan plays piano for Pepita and her on-stage partner Mario. Although Mario really wants to steal Juan for himself, Juan is not interested and Mario resorts to a string of lovers as consolation. When he loves (and leaves) a young nobleman, the young man wants revenge.

Chispita is a girl who has lost her mother in an accident. Shortly after she learns that she was actually adopted. With the help of her friends Tazo and Puñe, she decides to run away to find her true biological mother since her adoptive father and new stepmother do not treat her well.
