The series was originally announced to be a spin-off of the 2011 series Yes, Sir. Sorry, Sir! featuring the popular character "Miss Cool" portrayed by Chung. A costume fitting press conference was held on 21 November 2011 at Tseung Kwan O TVB City Studio One Common Room at 12:30PM.

Chung Kwok-Chu is a renowned food critic and an assistant editor-in-chief of a newspaper, Ko Jim Daily. When his son, Si-Hon returns from Canada, Chu is disappointed to find that Si Hon intends to become a chef rather than taking up a professional career. His attempts to guide his son away are thwarted when Shum Bui-yee, a well-known and respected chef, reluctantly accepts Si-Hon as her assistant. Meanwhile, Kwok-Chu struggles to keep peace amongst extended family members.

The Gem of Life was a TVB grand production drama, that broadcast between October 2008 and February 2009. The series was specifically filmed to celebrate TVB's 41st Anniversary. The series was filmed in many locations apart from Hong Kong, including Tibet, Taiwan and France.

The Greatness of a Hero is a Hong Kong television historical drama serial produced by TVB under executive producer Leung Choi-yuen. It first aired on Malaysia's Astro On Demand from 9 February to 6 March 2009 and on several TVB overseas cable channels in 2010. Starting 2 April 2012, The Greatness of a Hero will air on Hong Kong's free-to-air channels Jade and HD Jade.

A Journey Called Life is a TVB modern drama series broadcast in March 2008. This is also one of the few TVB series that TVB has produced that dealt with real life issues and scenarios. It's a series that involved both morals and life's lessons. The entire series featured problems that teenagers and young adults have been dealing with over past decade, including drugs, abortions, rape, family trust and relationships, money and greed.

When Lam Miu Miu thinks things are finally turning out the way she wants, she gets confused by Song's sudden changes and evil-tactics against Ngon Jo Lin, Song's half-brother. Perhaps Song's long-lost childhood will change him entirely and make him more distant to Lam Miu Miu.

How hard can it be to go back to your old job? Law Yiu Wah (Moses Chan) was a teacher at a dangerous high school before he was forced to resign over a peeping Tom controversy. Wah becomes a police officer but then is asked to go back to his old high school to investigate a triad drug network at the school.

The detective Li Junsheng (played by Zheng Zeshi) who has repeatedly solved strange cases was rescued by a police kennel during the investigation and joined the police dog team. He loves dogs and knows the habits of dogs. After retiring, Junsheng used his pension to open a dog farm in Changsheng Village to fulfill his lifelong wish. Junsheng and his daughter Li Xianru (played by Zhong Jiaxin) depend on each other for fate, and their father and daughter love each other. As a veterinarian, Xianru often treats stray dogs for injuries and opens a pet clinic next to the dog farm.

Ghost Writer is a 2010 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB. The protagonist of the series, Po Chung-ling, is based on the author of Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, a collection of Chinese tales on the supernatural. The series tells how he was inspired to write those stories based on his personal encounters with the supernatural.
