Years later, the count refuses to pay alms to the gypsy camp, so a couple of desperate gypsies decide to kidnap his five-year-old daughter. FRAGMENT | Tønne secretly visits a posh lady for dance lessons, which his wife mistakes for infidelity. All attempts to convince his missus that the visits are just about dancing seem to fall on deaf ears. Perhaps not too strange, as it turns out that Tønne has learnt almost nothing from his lessons. Of the films that Psilander made at Nordisk during the first two years it is the film Dødsspring til Hest fra Cirkuskuplen (The Great Circus Catastrophe), that is worth noting. Maybe not so much for Psilander's acting, but for the sensational, action-packed storylines that he was in. This film shows the other side of Psilander's fame: his daring. He was an excellent rider and looked fantastic in long riding boots and elegant riding jackets and this skill was exploited in his films.

Even though the Gommesens have been married for 25 years, they are still in love. They wake up happy on their silver wedding anniversary, but the peaceful atmosphere does not last. The couple ends up in a huge fight causing Mrs. Gommesen to leave the house in fury. Her husband’s anger quickly fades when Lawyer Vinkel makes a surprise visit, delivering a present from Gommesen’s rich uncle in Chicago: A check of 25.000 DKK. Learning that it can only be cashed on the condition, that the Gommesens lead a happy, peaceful life together, Mr. Gommesen rushes out to find his precious wife. The birthday child Storch reminds Søndergaard that it is his wedding day, which prompts Søndergaard to immediately send flowers home to his wife. Proprietor Madsen is trying to charm the kitchen maid, Stine, and gives her a lottery ticket for Christmas. If she is lucky, she will win the most beautiful farm in the country, so Madsen writes down the number of the lottery ticket and keeps a watchful eye on the lucky numbers. Draw by draw is made public, but the ticket does not win, and Stine grows impatient. So when the farmhand Klaus offers to buy the ticket, Stine sells. The next drawing brings Klaus the win and Stine now has a problem with Madsen, who had planned to get his hands on both her and the big prize. (Stumfilm.dk).

The Madsens and the Sørensens are eagerly awaiting a visit from their rich uncle Bims from America. As the ship docks, the two couples stand ready like drooling dogs about to chow down. However, the four are in for a sore disappointment: the gifts brought along by their uncle turn out to be very modest in scope. Enraged, the Sørensens destroy their gifts and mock the uncle by throwing cream puffs at his portrait in their living room. Mr Madsen wastes no time in getting rid of the cheap pearl necklace his wife has received. But the necklace keeps coming back in mysterious ways – which proves very fortuitous for them.
