He's an unemployed guy who earns some money by giving lifts to strangers. She's a graphic designer who just got her first job. The film tracks their relationship - and the way it gradually melts away - throughout a year. A subtle, moving portrait of an immature love that breaks down easily.

Petersburg. A Selfie comprises seven novellas about the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, Russia, shot by female directors. The film tells a story of a real, living and breathing city, rather than a mythical phantasm. Each novella tells its own story about love and loneliness, luck and hope.

Nina is barely 40, she is attractive and successful: a stable marriage, a trusting relationship with her husband, a little son, a favorite job. The idyll of pleasant stability is broken by a call from the past - Nina's ex-lover Ruslan is dangerously ill and asks her to come to Tbilisi to see him, perhaps for the last time. The husband does not mind, he knew about their relationship in the past. Nina is happy to go to the city where she was happy in order to support a once loved one in a friendly way. She believes she loves her husband and family and plans to return home soon, not expecting this light trip to be her last.

Slava is a girl who is used to living with emotions, her actions are impulsive and unpredictable. On New Year's Eve, she makes a wish that her husband Valya will become a cool startup in Silicon Valley, and she is "just" a superwoman who will save the world. But time passes, and the miracle does not happen, and Slava, having collected things, leaves her husband. However, the wish made becomes fatal: everything starts to work out for Valya, and Slava continues to live with the expectation that the world will revolve around her.

After a failed marriage, Masha retreats to the sanctuary of her humble profession as a translator of serious literature. Financial difficulties force her to accept an offer to interpret during a seminar held by an English puppeteer.

Mom and Dad have just moved into a new house and are preparing for their Baby daughter's first birthday. Balancing between work and family, Dad buys a gift in an unusual store without even looking into the box. And there are small animated toys — Malyshariki. While the parents are preparing for the holiday, the little ones get out of the box and go in search of their own house.

The cycle consists of four short stories ("Record", "Havana", "Close Embrace", "Uncle from Chicago") connected by a common idea - to present different portraits of a modern Russian woman. It is planned to add some more interesting stories. All the short stories are shot by different directors, and each of them shows the viewer His Own Woman.
