In the 1970s, in the midst of a military dictatorship, composer Jards Macalé and filmmaker Luiz Carlos Lacerda (Bigode) shared a house in Rio de Janeiro - which became a center of convergence for musicians, filmmakers and writers, and where they performed classic films and songs of Brazilian culture.

City of God – 10 Years Later investigates what happened to the actors who took part in the award-winning film directed by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund. Dé, Adrianim and Martins are three black teenagers from Chatuba, Rio de Janeiro. When Dé receives the news that Almerinda, his grandmother, is in the terminal phase of Alzheimer's disease, he decides to enjoy the last days of her life together with his two best friends.
