On set, in the middle of the Atlantic Forest, a stressed film director begins another day of filming, reproducing the celebration of the first mass in Brazil. Suddenly three strange agents emerge from the forest and abruptly interrupt the scene. Authoritarians, they confiscate the filmed negatives. The paranoid director grumbles: "Are they from the government?". The execution of the film is compromised. Will the director in trouble be able to complete his film?

The story is about a young man who has the strange habit of waking up in a dead body position and decides to buy a security camera to investigate what happens while he sleeps. What he sees is shocking.

Girassol Vermelho is a film inspired by Murilo Rubião, a master of Brazilian magical realism, about the journey of Romeu, a man who leaves his past behind in search of freedom. By chance, he arrives in a strange city where an oppressive and pathetic system, which does not allow for questioning, drags him into a series of interrogations and tortures. In this absurd world, Romeo realizes that he has lost his greatest value: freedom. Full of pain and fury, Romeu, delirious, embarks on a new and even stranger journey.

From 2000 to 2007, Teat(r)o Oficina Uzyna Uzona worked on the staging of Euclides da Cunha's epic book, Os Sertões, which describes the 19th Century War of Canudos in the Brazilian "sertão"(backlands). The result was the pentalogy of plays: A Terra (2002), O Homem I (2003), O Homem II (2003), A Luta I (2005), and A Luta II (2006). This first play is a carnival opera, the actors are the earth, the vegetation, the wind, the animals, the rivers, the drought. It reveals the most intimate secrets of nature, that also vibrate in the human and trans-human arteries. This work enriched by the experience that the subsequent works brought gains an updated insight into the human interference in the environment. Destructive power is proportional to financial power, and the discussion about the way space gets occupied was brought to the forefront, including the real-estate boom that surrounds today not only Teatro Oficina, but the whole world, now hotter and more arid.

The film is a narrative starting from the story of Pierre and Syl, a couple that experiences the conflict between possession and freedom in a troubled relationship. Pierre is insecure and jealous, while Syl can’t even imagine that spending time with her friends will affect her boyfriend’s emotions – and also her own in a tragic way. A musical in tribute to Brazil, the garden of the Atlantic Ocean.

In this Brazilian mockumentary, Paulo, Manuel, Eric and Alex all have a shared dream: to make a blockbuster action movie. The challenge is immense, as it requires bringing their grandiose ideas down to Earth. Each is equally passionate and narrow-minded about what they do, and in spite of a predilection for getting into trouble, nothing will stop them from pursuing fame, success, and the money they lack for the project in one hilarious misadventure after another.

Man and Woman are reunited after a long time. Sorrow and desire cannot break the silence. But that's okay: when words don't come, it's the body that speaks.
