The story of the villagers of Çaykaşılı in Kastamonu, caught between their traditional way of life and industrialization. Aşur, who migrated from Kastamonu to Istanbul, is a man who makes a living by chasing small jobs in the construction sector and committing fraud. He abandons the renovations he takes on without completing them, taking the payments and disappearing. As a result, he finds himself in trouble with customers who have lost their money and workers who have not been paid.

In this story set in ancient times, 31 women who lost their husbands, fathers, and children in war rise up against their lack of men after many years and demand that the state send them men to marry and have children. Five single men from different regions and cultures are selected at a porter market in Istanbul to marry these 31 women. The selected men, unaware of what awaits them, believe they are going to war. However, the porters, referred to as "human donkeys," find themselves in a completely different adventure instead of the front lines.

Osman, who lives a poor life with his wife, children, and mother-in-law, earns his living as a porter. His debts to the local shopkeepers and his landlord have piled up like a mountain. To make matters worse, he is constantly belittled by his wife Leman and mother-in-law! One day, the neighborhood ticket seller Şakir forces him to buy a lottery ticket. Osman hides the ticket somewhere but forgets where he put it. When Osman learns that the jackpot has been won by one of the tickets sold by Şakir, he mistakenly believes it is his and is overcome with joy.

Ragıp Elibol is a wealthy and stingy businessman. He separated from Melek, the mother of his children, and married Dürdane. His son Cengiz is studying at university, while his daughter Zeliha is at home waiting for a husband. One day, Ragıp is hit by a car while driving. Four young people, who have many things they want to do but cannot afford, kidnap Ragıp, thinking he can provide them with the means to do so. They claim to be a secret organization and demand a ransom. His wife Dürdane informs the police, explaining that she is being threatened for ransom. Everyone he knows, including his family and business partner, is delighted about the ransom. No one contributes to the demanded ransom. Ragıp learns that he has no one who loves him thanks to those who kidnapped him. When the young people lose hope of getting the money, they release Ragıp.

Against a backdrop of political unrest in Turkey, this biopic charts the life of Anatolian rock singer Cem Karaca, focusing on his revolutionary ideals. Heightened emotions and moments of threat reflect the country's rising tensions.
