Four friends and three girls spend a summer on a desolated beach, living in an abandoned hut.

In an authoritarian police state, a charismatic schemer is fired from his job as a secret-police informant, conjures up his own imaginary spy network and builds up an archive that he turns against his former masters.

On the night of graduation prom the credit to the English Language School, Loris tries to escape to the West, but he is betrayed and captured. Charged with political motivation, Loris is sentenced. The year is 1986. The slogan written in red letters onto the wall in the prison is: If you don't know - we will teach you, if you can't - we will show you how, if you don't want to - we will force you. It is put into practice. Torture, cynicism and physical violence turn the talented young man into an impassive and coldblooded observer. The Berlin wall is falling. Loris is granted an amnesty. Already free, he is alienated and indifferent to the world. In his desperate escape from reality Loris revenges for his ruined life and takes the road to his own destruction. But he meets love. Loris tries to find salvation in yet another flight...

Sofia, November 7, 1952. A replica of the cruiser Aurora parades along the yellow cobbles – a revolutionary symbol reduced to spectacle. In the shadow of the celebrations, Maria, the daughter of an industrialist condemned by the People’s Court, survives as a prostitute in a decaying bourgeois hotel. Her lover is Axinia, an official sculptor of the regime who creates ideological monuments while living in fear.

This is a film about the fate of a group of students and their wondering to find their true place in life. Of course each of them tries to find his own way.

The wars of 1912-1913 pass as a distant echo in Dozhden, a small village in the Rhodopes. Overwhelmed by a dream to fly, the young shepherd Sirachko, the son of a skilled craftsman, set about building an aircraft.

This is a film about old fashioned Bulgarian customs and moral rules. A pre-arranged marriage of two children is no obstacle to true love.
