For over 35 years, this iconic educational show has been explaining the world to fans of all ages in a fun and entertaining way. This "Best of" edition features ten of the show’s most memorable episodes starring the two main characters, Peter Lustig and Fritz Fuchs (aka Guido Hammesfahr). Of course, neighbor Paschulke, the dog Keks, the talking ukulele Klaus-Dieter, and the blue construction trailer are all part of the fun too!

The film provides a historical overview of the history of the Palestinians between 1948-1974 and shows the living conditions of Palestinians in territories occupied by Israel since 1967.

In the late 1970s the German secret service fights against RAF terrorism and searches for constitutional enemies in the public service. Teacher Brasch implicates secret service agent Körner and the government in the suicide of a young teen. As a result Brasch and the exposed Körner are fired.

Each 30 minute episode is dedicated to a separate issue or theme and consists mainly of related short featurettes, which explain, explore and educate how things of everyday life and even complex systems work. It spans a wide variety of topics from technology and industry to something as mundane as how the postal service works.

The Way Things Work was a short-lived television series based on the best-selling book of the same name by David Macaulay.
