The ordinary life of an ordinary family from the province: a couple, 2 children, a dog and neighbors. Dasha is a housewife who loves to watch TV shows and go shopping. Her husband, Gena, is a shoe store manager, likes to hang around in the garage and watch football with friends. Their daughter Sveta is a student of high school, changes the guys every week. And their son Roma is playing computer thew whole day and intrigues sister. Bukins quarrel at least once a day - so they have fun. They have been together for 16 years and still love each other. This is the happiest family in the world.

In the center of the plot is a senior investigator named Masha Shvetsova and her male colleagues. The plot is the most vital, but, like in “Streets of Broken Lanterns,” it is seasoned with a fair amount of humor - otherwise, how can the audience (and the heroes) endure countless morgues, identifications and other “cute” charms of the investigative routine?

Sometimes it seems to parents that their child has been replaced... and two Ivanov families from the south of Russia are simply sure of this: after 16 years, namesakes will find out that their children were confused in the maternity hospital. The story is about a father who, after learning about his wife's infidelity, decides to take his twelve-year-old son and raise him on his own. In order to increase his chances of leaving a child in a divorce, he embarks on the path of becoming a demonstrative father – he joins the parent committee of the class. There he meets his former classmate, Sveta Surkova, who has changed a lot in twenty years. She turned from a gray nerd into a purposeful and self-confident woman who harshly directs moms from the parent committee, and even the school principal is afraid of her. Only one thing remained unchanged – her dislike for Shmelev, who did not give her a quiet life as a child. To stay on the parent committee, he must find a common language with Surkova and the rest of the moms.

No matter what happens in the Yekaterinburg Bukin family, they continually prove that they still love each other and, despite minor quarrels and troubles, remain a strong family.

The Gerasimov family is big and friendly. Pavel is an architect, father of five children, and dreams of a sixth. This choice turns the family's life into a real adventure, revealing to them the power of a large, close-knit family and each of its members individually.
