Bálint Zeke, the honest old miller of the village, leaves his water-mill to Anna, his only daughter, while the will also provides for the mill to be managed by Forintos Mátyás, a young miller, whom he has been raising since he was very young and treats as his own son. The two young people seem to "like each other anyway", and their marriage would make the old man happy.

Kató Varga (Klári Tolnay) is unable to play its part in front of the Admissions Committee of the School of Dramatic Art. Geszty (Tivadar Bilicsi), severe President of the Commission maintains that she has no talent for acting and mercilessly tells you will never be an actress. Kató prepares to take revenge and under the false name of Katyi Csiba, dressed as a peasant village, obtains admission to the house Geszty. Turning everything upside down, she makes your life hell.

In a post office at Balatonföldvár, Pali, a spoiled young man, one who has good manners and knows the way of the world, falls in love on one lazy summer afternoon with Teri, a young post office clerk and an orphan.

Set in Paris (which looks more like Budapest), the story concerns a murder investigation conducted by one Judge Henri Tessier. The audience is led to believe that Robert Petrovich, estranged husband of Tessier's sweetheart Marion, is responsible for the murder.

dr. Benedek Gábor, a famous solicitor in Eger, is the defense counsel of a murderer, who killed his wife out of jealousy. Gábor lives in a happy marriage with Anna. One day, however, Szentgyörgyi Péter, a famous pianist, comes to Eger. He once was loved by Anna, who in those days was training to become an artist herself. Gábor has no knowledge of these events of the past. He, therefore, associates the now renewed relationship with the story of the murderer he is the legal representative of.

Tóni is a delivery man in a furniture shop. As he has no place to go, he spends the nights in an antique bed in the shop window.

Everybody knows that the captains of the hussars are a wild bunch. This was no different for Gábor Bagodi, who was famous far and wide for his revelry. No wonder his wife left him after a day of revelry. He packed up their little girl and left. Bagodi didn't mourn her much, he went on with his life. As fate would have it, he met a beautiful lady, Baroness Eva Lichtenstein...

Pál Völcsöky comes home from Sweden to get his uncle's heritage, the castle. The valet, Joachim informs him that all members of the Völcsöky family have a right to spend two weeks of honeymoon here.

Kato is looking for a husband for her sisters so that she can marry. Mari helps her as a counsellor, but all their attempts end in scandal. Kato is left to focus on his own happiness. She is in love with Baron Koltay, but he also wants to win the hand of the actress Palma Nusi. Kató pretends to be Koltay's sister and wins Nusi's trust. The Baron soon forgets Nusi and falls in love with Kato. A tangle of lies and deceit finally leads Koltay and Kato to marriage.

The child's must have a mother! - This is the doctor's instructions, and a young widow will do everything so that little girl's mood will change.

The director discusses film subjects with three screen-play writers. The three episodes are formed from readers' letters.

It rarely happens that a parent is not happy that their son is serious, hardworking and interested in nothing but work and the land. Well, our Péter Tamássy is like that. Péter's son is only interested in farming, so the father, who was a playboy in his youth, decides that before Péter gets married, he will introduce him to society a little. And to make sure that the child gets into good company, he entrusts him to his old love, the prima donna Ria. (Honthy Hanna in a wonderful movie role.)

Two girls run away from a small village. Gyöngyi comes from an aristocratic family and her father throws her out of the house when he discovers she has gotten pregnant out of wedlock. She finds herself wandering the streets of Budapest and earns money playing the violin in a restaurant. Vica is an orphaned peasant; she is afraid of her stepfather and moves to the city where she gets a job on a construction site. Gyöngyi and Vica meet on the streets of Budapest, move in together and turn their lives around.

In the 1600s, Hungary is plundered by the Turks and the Laban. Kecskemét, the free royal city, is not exempt from this. Miska, the wily son of Lestyák, a master tailor, suggests to the town council that they should ask for a permanent beacon from Buda, thus protecting Kecskemét from the harassment of raiding troops. The town assembles its gift of jewellery, cloth and a beautiful girl, and Miska sets off for Buda. On the way, the young gypsy girl falls in love with Mishka, who elopes with her in a boy's dress. He can do this because instead of the bewitchment he hopes for, he is given only a fancy robe to protect the city. Little do they know at the time how much the robe is worth. Before its wearer, all true believers will crumble to dust and do his bidding.

Péter Ilosvay and Lina Vásárhelyi are wife and husband, but don't come along with each other. After the divorce they go on living under the same roof for they are unable to agree on the common wealth.

Among the Gruber family, the rumor spreads like wildfire that their wealthy American relative, Menyhért Gruber, is visiting Hungary with his daughter, Mary. Various plans are devised to exploit the rich relative. The boldest of them all is the plan of Bálint Koltay, who directly pursues Mary's hand. However, the young ones fall in love with each other so deeply that Bálint stands by Mary even when the "wealthy" Gruber informs him that he's bankrupt. At this point, the only thing left to arrange is for Bálint, who poses as a landowner, to actually present a noble castle to his future father-in-law.

When his new wife from a peasant background is not accepted by his colleagues, a University Professor resigns his post and returns home to his rural village. After receiving popular support, he is returned to his position by the Minister of Education.

Balazs, who is married to Polika, welcomes his friend Viktor who pays him a surprise visit, unaware that Viktor and Polika dated each other in their adolescent years.

Our hero, Boldizsar Szabó, does not doubt what he is offering. There is a book entitled "How I Will Be Rich, the Idea Publishing Company" for a "great success". Well, if you have the right luck to sell your Boldizsár, you already have a high-ranking bookstore job. His good or bad fate brings him to the Counts of Nyulassy. But in vain, enthusiasm, if there is a lack of fitness. The Nyulassy family, wishing to maintain the semblance of wealth, completely devastates it. The Countess only takes his book and gets his money on a card, Count Fricie does a little more: steals and sells Boldizsár's car. Countess Dora even exceeds this.
