Sometimes magic will help on the path to power, sometimes to beauty, but the greatest magic is true love, which will overcome all obstacles, above intrigue and evil... Ondro is well on his way to becoming an acclaimed baker. Princess Anna also has a clear idea of ​​her life, and it is miles away from the wedding with the suitor chosen for her by her uncle Árpád. The greedy wizard Láb does not shy away from anything; a bag of gold would be suitable enough for him, so under pressure from Árpád, he casts a spell on the king himself. What will the kingdom do without a good and just ruler? Will Láb manage to fix what he has ruined with his spells?

Tomas, a 14-year-old boy lives beneath the castle of the powerful Lord Balador. The boy is able to communicate with animals, and he tries to obtain the royal falcon – a symbol of freedom and faith. He also falls in love with Balador's daughter Formina, a girl who is to be married off against her will.

The parents decided to send two twins, Honza, and Martin, on vacation to their grandfather.

The story takes place in a reform-camp for the prostitutes of Bratislava. Soon after the political changes in February 1948 a deputy of the Ministry of the Interior decides to clean the city from its subverting elements. After a police raid all the prostitutes are transported to work-camps where they are supposed to be converted to loyal citizens.

A story of a family that after WWII moved to the south of Slovakia and acquired a prosperous butcher business left behind by a Hungarian emigrant. From the previous owner, the family also inherited a self-assured, greedy assistant who does not like to observe any firm moral principles. He assists the family in gaining wealth but in the long run, he causes the family's moral dissolution. In his most successful feature film, director Zoro Záhon combined a complex drama with excellent acting performances, especially that of Hungarian actor Gábor Koncz in the lead role.

Five benches. Five different stories. Five couples. Each dealing with the same thing - love and relationships. If you think it can't get any worse, it can. Two young teenagers Alica and Kevin, homeless Jano and Zoli, partners Miška and Karel, two metal buddies Ceco and Kilo and ex-husbands Kamila and Miro will convince you of that.

One of the annual gatherings of the Nádašskov family turns into a confrontation between different attitudes to life and generational views. The son-in-law tries to convince every member of the large family of the advantages of selling the old family home.

Set in Czechoslovakia, the drama follows the lives of its characters against the backdrop of real historical events that shape their personal stories. To evoke period atmosphere, the series intersperses authentic clips from vintage Czechoslovak film newsreels, using their original commentaries or newly recorded historical voice-overs by Vladimír Fišer. A narrator, initially voiced by Vojtěch Kotek and later by Matěj Hádek, provides continuity and reflection, guiding viewers through changing times. Under the guidance of screenwriter Rudolf Merkner, each episode’s script weaves family and individual dramas into key moments of Czech and Slovak history: political shifts, cultural trends, and social transformations from the 1960s onward.

While married couples live side by side, but temperament, opinions and ways of life are quite different. They experience humorous situations based on misunderstandings and coincidences that life brings.
