The main character of the story which takes place in the twenties in Budapest is the poet Dr. Rácz György, who returns after ten years of absence. In a café he meets his former friend Lajos, who has just broken up with his lover, Márta, because of the wife of professor Büchler. The transiently formed, rootless Rácz gets entangled into the sophisticated, complicated love affairs of bored or tired ladies.

This film, chronicling the last days of Czech resistance fighter Maruska Kuderikova (played by Magda Vasaryova), is based on her diaries. Though she was tortured and eventually executed by the Nazis, her diaries indicate that she was optimistic for the humanity of her captors and did not by any means hate them. Told with simple dignity, this film makes clear why Maruska became a national hero.

Based on the novel by French writer Jean Labord, who was a long-time court reporter for the Paris newspaper France-Soir, Jiří Hubač wrote a compelling story with a strong ethical message. The television film of the same name, directed by Zdeněk Zelenka, tells the story of the eternal fluctuation of justice between truth and its outward appearance. It focuses on a case of judicial error, the victim of which is a young nurse, Genevieve Leblanc. She is accused of giving a lethal injection to her lover, government advisor Dupré. In the court investigation, two prominent lawyers clash: Judge Gaudet, who gradually becomes convinced that the girl is innocent, and attorney Cassidis, who elegantly manipulates witnesses, facts, and words.

The film thematically follows the stories of the TV series "30 cases of Major Zeman". We can meet Major Zeman again with Lieutenant Colonel Zitny, Major Hradec and Lieutenant Gajdoš. The film is set in 1972 in a South American country and shows the activities of an international counter-revolutionary headquarters, which the central character of the film - Major Hradec - uncovers even at the cost of his own life. The film was largely shot in Cuba. The film is an edited version of the series episodes 27 and 28 "Messages from an Unknown Land" and "Hostages in Bella Vista".

The loose series of detective stories featuring Jan Kanyza as Major Bohuslav continues with another story. As the title suggests, it is once again about murder, but not of an ordinary domestic animal, but of "two-legged cats": models, photographic models, and above all unsuccessful high school students, girls who are extremely charming but also unhappy, superficial, and egotistical, who only want to gain and take in life, whether it be love, prosperity, or money. Ulice is a Czech soap opera produced and broadcast by Nova. In the Czech language Ulice means street. The show describes the lives of the Farský, Jordán, Boháč, Nikl, and Liška families and many other people that live in Prague. Their daily battle against real problems of living in a modern world like divorce, love, betrayal and illness or disease. Ulice often shows crime.

Thirty Cases of Major Zeman is a Czechoslovak action-drama television show intended as a political propaganda to support the official attitude of the communist party. The series were filmed in the 1970s. Each episode encompasses one year, and investigations are stylized to that year. Most are inspired by real cases. The series follows the life of police investigator Jan Zeman during his career from 1945 to 1975.

Hospital at the End of the City is a popular television series first released in Czechoslovakia in 1977, it featured an ensemble cast and received much viewer praise in central Europe. The series ran from 1977 to 1981 for a total of twenty episodes. The success of the series inspired the German television series The Black Forest Clinic.
