The film is an intense drama about two and a half couples. Three girlfriends and two men meet with different intentions and have to realize just how little they really know about each other. On the beautiful island of Mallorca, the ugly truth reveals itself. No one actually wants that, it just happens. The house of cards collapses. How much do we deceive each other? A group of seniors decide to have a party in their school on graduation night. Unfortunately an uninvited guest with a pair of scissors crashes the party and it isn’t long before the bodies begin to pile up.

Lawyer Sienna can hardly believe her luck when her long-time partner and dream man Oscar proposes to her. Nevertheless, Sienna hesitates briefly because, unbeknownst to Oscar, Sienna is already married to her childhood sweetheart Tyler. Years ago, she left him head over heels after Tyler cheated on her. But on paper, they are still wife and husband. So Sienna travels to Cornwall to persuade Tyler to sign the divorce papers. But he wants something in return from his former partner. He is currently fighting for custody of his daughter Ivy, who was born out of the affair. Ivy's mother Naomi has since died. Sienna is supposed to pretend that she and Tyler have a happy marriage so that Ivy doesn't have to move in with her grandmother in the USA.

Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten is a long-running German television soap opera, first broadcast on RTL in 1992. The programme concerns the lives of a fictional neighborhood in Germany's capital city Berlin. Over the years the soap opera tends to have an overhaul of young people in their late teens and early twenties; targeting a young viewership.
