Anthology film made from clips from films starring Swedish actor Edvard Persson. The film was produced for Persson’s 60th birthday and starts off with a prologue created for this movie, portraying the star’s youth.

6-year-old Johan (nicknamed 'Fimpen') loves football. One day, his talents are discovered, and it doesn't take long before Fimpen gets to travel around with the national team. Fimpen becomes an idol and the media wants a piece of him all the time. It gets hard to catch up in school.

Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".
