Jim Hawkins has been trying to keep his merchant ships out of the hands Captain Savage, an officer who's been hunting down English ships for his own gain. In trying to avoid Savage, Jim ends up meeting a young woman and instantly is attracted to her. However, what he finds out is that she is the only daughter of the man who had betrayed his trust so long ago - Long John Silver. Jim finds Silver retired and mourning the death of his wife. By coindidence, Savage also knows the Silvers and chases all of them back to the island where once Flint's trove was hidden. Will honor and respect win out over power or will Jim's lack of trust in John Silver and his daughter be justified?

The series of self-contained stories follows Will's quest to restore young Princess Vara to her rightful place on the royal throne and defeat Xax and Kreel's forces — and by doing so, bring back peace and order to the Kingdom of Kale. There is action and adventure along the way, magic, creatures, mystery, intrigue — but also much human drama and interplay among Will's rebel band who must support each other in their quest. The group encounter a diverse range of people and situations on their journey — some help the resistance movement, others are cohorts of Xax and Kreel.

Every week the narrator/host would have a group of children he would tell a story to. The main children were always in the story itself.
