Car mechanic Şemsi separated from his wife years ago and lives alone, far away from his only child. Celal is a disciplined retired colonel married to Zarife. Unable to afford to go to Cuba or bring Rosa there, Galip falls ill and learns he has cancer. His friends do everything they can to make him happy before he dies, even putting their homes up for sale. But when the money still isn't enough, there's only one thing left to do: To obtain the money needed to send Galip to Cuba, they decide to rob five charming elderly bankers!

Huriye Bacı, a poor peasant woman, moves to Istanbul to educate her daughter Ayşe. She struggles to educate her daughter despite financial difficulties. An orphaned Kurdish child (Hêjar) and a Turkish pensioner (Rıfat) are thrown together by circumstance. Rıfat, a widowed retired judge, refuses to get involved in politics. He is forced out of his solitude, when Hêjar the only survivor of a police raid on his Kurdish neighbors, takes refuge at his home. Gradually, he warms up to the kid and decides to reunite her with her family.
